A 30-Year Healing, Long-Awaited Financial Blessing, and Miraculous Recovery: A Kreupasanam Testimony of Faith

Countless pilgrims who visit the Kreupasanam Marian Shrine have shared inspiring testimonies of God's grace received through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. One such testimony comes from Sridevi Ratheesh, a resident of Attappady in Kerala's Palakkad district, who experienced multiple blessings after entering into the Kreupasanam Udampadi (Covenant) and faithfully participating in prayer.
This testimony is presented as her personal experience and expression of faith.
A Painful Illness for Nearly Three Decades
Sridevi begins by asking forgiveness from Jesus and the Blessed Mother for delaying her testimony.
From childhood, she had been suffering from severe piles (hemorrhoids). The condition worsened whenever she ate certain foods, especially chicken. Over the years, the pain became increasingly difficult to bear. During severe episodes, she experienced excessive bleeding and found it almost impossible to sit, stand, or lie down comfortably.
Despite living with the illness for nearly 30 years, she says she placed her trust in prayer after joining the Kreupasanam Covenant.
Entering the Covenant During Financial Hardship
In 2022, while facing serious financial difficulties, Sridevi enrolled in the Kreupasanam Udampadi. Although she frequently renewed her covenant, she could never gather the courage to publicly testify about the blessings she had received.
Every time she attended retreats, she felt a gentle reminder in her heart whenever the priest encouraged people to share their testimonies. She desired to stand before the altar one day and glorify God, but circumstances prevented her from doing so.
Trusting in Prayer
During one particularly difficult period, her piles became extremely severe. Family members repeatedly urged her to seek medical treatment.
However, she chose to continue praying with faith. She regularly used the blessed sacramentals associated with the shrine, such as blessed salt and holy oil, while reciting the Creed and offering sincere prayers to Lord Jesus and the Blessed Mother.
She explains that this was her personal decision based on her faith and devotion.
Months later, she noticed something remarkable.
The pain gradually disappeared.
The bleeding stopped.
The condition that had troubled her for nearly three decades was completely gone.
Whenever she delayed giving her testimony, she says she occasionally experienced brief discomfort again. Each time, she would pray to the Blessed Mother, thanking her for the healing she believed she had received. According to her testimony, the pain would disappear again within a couple of days.
Today, she joyfully proclaims that she has been completely healed and gives all glory to Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
An Eight-Year Delay Ends in One Week
Another blessing involved government maternity benefits.
After the birth of her youngest child, Sridevi applied for a maternity benefit provided by the government. Despite submitting the necessary application, eight years passed without receiving the financial assistance.
After renewing her covenant in 2024, she attended prayer and later visited the concerned government office.
Following a testimony she had heard at Kreupasanam, she prayed with faith using blessed salt before approaching the office.
To her surprise, within a week she received a phone call informing her that her application had finally been approved. After submitting the remaining documents, the long-delayed benefit was deposited into her child's bank account shortly afterward.
She gratefully attributes this breakthrough to God's providence through the prayers offered at Kreupasanam.
Healing from Severe Back Pain
Sridevi also suffered from severe lower back pain for nearly six months.
Simple daily activities such as bending, standing, or sitting had become extremely difficult.
Instead of losing hope, she continued praying every morning and evening, using holy oil while entrusting her pain to Jesus and the Blessed Mother.
During one Tuesday healing prayer conducted by the retreat priest, those experiencing back pain were invited to place their hands on the affected area while praying.
She immediately responded in faith.
Two days later, while bending to do household work, she suddenly realized that the pain had completely disappeared.
She believes that Jesus Christ healed her during that prayer meeting.
Living a Life of Gratitude and Service
Receiving blessings also inspired Sridevi to become more active in Christian service.
She shares that before distributing the Kreupasanam publication to others, she prays over every copy, making the Sign of the Cross and anointing it with holy oil while reciting the Creed.
She participates in evangelization by sharing the Word of God with people who do not yet know Christ.
She also sets aside a portion of her income for charitable works, helping the poor, supporting bedridden patients, and providing food to orphanages together with her prayer group.
In addition, she regularly shares spiritual reflections, "Daily Bread" messages, retreat announcements, and testimonies through social media so that more people may encounter God's love.
A Life Transformed by Faith
Reflecting on her journey, Sridevi thanks Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary for the many blessings she has received—both great and small.
Her testimony reminds believers that faith often leads people to persevere through suffering with hope. Whether through physical healing, unexpected financial provision, or opportunities to serve others, she believes that God's grace has transformed her life.
As Scripture says:
"Here is My servant, whom I uphold, My chosen one in whom My soul delights; I have put My Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations."
